NEW YORK — Ultraleather, the residential brand by Ultrafabrics has partnered with Kravet to launch the Ultraleather VI book. This newly curated resource offers designers and specifiers an expanded selection that balances elevated aesthetics with durability, cleanability, comfort, and sustainability. As the sixth book in the Ultraleather series, this expanded assortment brings together 117 SKUs across multiple collections for both indoor and outdoor applications, including three new Ultraleather collection additions: Brisa Ellora, Coast, and Pumice.
“Kravet has long been a valued partner because we share the same bar for quality—materials that look beautiful and feel exceptional while still holding up in demanding environments,” says Sergio Prosperino, senior vice president of Sales, Marketing and Brand at Ultraleather by Ultrafabrics. “With Ultraleather VI, we’re giving designers a deeper, more versatile toolkit for everyday living and outdoor leisure—paired with responsible material choices and ongoing improvements at our mill.”
Utilizing the brand’s proprietary Takumi™ Technology—derived from the Japanese word for “artisan”, Ultraleather designs materials for longevity to help extend product life and reduce life-cycle impact. These long-standing efforts are supported by rigorous compliance and indoor air quality certifications, alongside ongoing work to improve efficiency across global operations.
Ultraleather indoor and outdoor collections are crafted in facilities that prioritize the reduction of environmental impacts through thoughtful material choices and responsible manufacturing practices. The brand has set science-based targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, including solar power generation and energy storage. A closed-loop water purification system recycles water and reduces water usage, and over 98% of waste is diverted from landfill. Ultraleather prioritizes safer chemistry by removing PFAS and avoiding PVC, plasticizer phthalates, and formaldehyde. The brand also incorporates recycled and renewable materials into every branded product and uses FSC- and PEFC-certified viscose in backcloths to support responsible forest management.
Kravet similarly highlights sustainability commitments across its operations and partner network, including working with brands that prioritize efforts such as recycling waste and reusing water and materials.
“The Ultraleather VI book reflects a shared philosophy between Ultrafabrics and Kravet: elevating the design experience through materials that look refined, feel exceptional, and perform over time. As the premier distributor of Ultraleather, Kravet has helped bring Ultraleather’s design-forward performance to designers across the country for more than two decades,” says Suzanne Cohen, CMO of Kravet.
