Windward Design Group® Appoints Steven Swartz as VP of Manufacturing

SARASOTA, FL - Windward Design Group, manufacturer of quality outdoor furniture since 1990, has hired Steven Swartz as its new vice president of Manufacturing.
Steve has spent his entire career in manufacturing with a broad range of tangible experience in make to order manufacturing, process control, global supply chain management, quality assurance, JIT inventory control, product development, Lean manufacturing, and personnel management. Steve also comes to us with sound working knowledge of our accounting and new manufacturing software.
Steve brings with him over 30 years of experience in the Casual Furniture industry. He worked his way up the ladder from the shop floor to an executive position at Tropitone® and spent his last 10 years there as VP of Manufacturing. He officially came went full time as of April 30, 2018, after consulting with WDG on manufacturing operations for five months.
In this newly created position, Steve is responsible for the general management of all phases of production operations, including purchasing, production scheduling, production, quality control, shipping, maintenance, and warehousing. He will be working closely with all departments to increase productivity and profitability within the manufacturing operations of Windward Design Group.
