NEW YORK - Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills, the fourth-generation family mill based in New Jersey, and its Bella-Dura® brand of high performance textiles, have a new director of Sales, effective immediately.
Stuart Schneider brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the textile industry. In his new role, he will be tasked with increasing sales and driving business forward.
“Stuart’s expertise throughout the home furnishings field, his wide range of contacts both nationally and internationally, along with a deep understanding of emerging industry trends make him an ideal choice,” said Irwin Gasner, president of Wearbest/Bella-Dura. “We are poised to build our business in all the markets that we serve and are very confident we can do that under the sales leadership of Stuart Schneider.”
Schneider began his career at Quaker Fabrics, after which he moved to Chatham Mills, where he served as international sales manager. Positions in the industry also include sales director, North America for Enzo Degli Anguioni of Milan, Italy, and general manager, International Sales for Covington.
This is another step in the company’s ongoing strategy to reorganize and elevate their position in the market. Other changes in the past year have included the hiring of: Susan Lobel as vice president, Marketing and Brand Development; MJ Ramos as senior merchandiser, Bella-Dura®; and the promotion of Melissa Battah to director of Contract Sales.
In this new organizational structure, national sales reps will report to Schneider, and Schneider will report to Ari Gasner, executive vice president.
