Wearbest/Bella-Dura® Appoints Nikki Rubalcaba as Director of Sales

NEW YORK - Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills, the fourth-generation family mill based in New Jersey, and its Bella-Dura® brand of high performance textiles, have a new Director of Sales, effective April 1, 2016. Nikki Rubalcaba brings with her over 20 years of experience in the textile industry, and in this new role will be tasked with increasing sales and driving business forward for Wearbest core product as well as the company’s continually growing Bella-Dura® brand of performance fabrics.

Beginning her career as an account representative with Toltec Fabrics, Nikki served as liaison between the mill and clients, before moving into sales for the Interface Fabric Group division. Other positions in the industry include Product Development and Technical Services Manager for Carnegie, Account Manager for Victor and most recently, Designer of Contract textiles for KnollTextiles.

“We could not be more thrilled to have Nikki join our team,” stated Ari Gasner, president of Wearbest/Bella-Dura®. “Her vast experience on both the mill and jobber sides, her deep understanding of both the designer and sales perspective, along with her enthusiasm for fabrics, make Nikki the ideal choice to direct the expansion of our contract and residential business.”

“I am extremely excited to join Wearbest for many reasons,” Rubalcaba said. “That it is one of the last privately owned mills in the US is very appealing, but mainly because of the agility, responsiveness to client needs and the ability to support American jobs throughout the supply chain. I believe we have a strong product for multiple categories and I look forward to growing our business, reconnecting with past clients and building new relationships.”

Nikki holds an Associate Degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising from Nassau Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Production Management from FIT.
