Having started Sunset West 16 years ago with a few dealers and a handful of reps, it amazes me how far we’ve come. We still have most of those early partners with us, and still have quite a few of the same reps. As small businesses, we depend on each other’s contributions for our success. So, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to our business partners – our retail stores, our designers, our sales representatives - we would not be where we are without you.
Today, we are now more than ever committed to supporting our valued partners, as well as finding ways to support our local communities. Last week, we began production of non-medical masks in partnership with Project Masks, a local organization who distributes needed supplies to essential workers. This week, we will send off 5000 mask kits to be distributed throughout the Greater San Diego area. This is a small way we hope to say “Thank You” to the local community that has helped create what Sunset West is today.
In the coming days and weeks, we will move quickly and make decisions that protect our community and bolster our future – we will continue to keep all our partners informed with as much information as possible. For now, we have implemented procedures to maintain safe and reliable operations for our customers and internal teams as follows–
• Our warehouse is currently operating with limited hours and crews in shifts, and has multi- daily sanitation procedures to disinfect the workplace in accordance with CDC guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
• Our team has implemented a revised, safe will call pick up schedule – we offer no contact appointments to practice safe social distancing
• Our Customer Service teams are working remotely, and are here to help with orders, samples, and answering any questions via email or telephone.
• We are working to present our customers with our new collections and introductions virtually, not only making sure product information is available at your fingertips, but sending physical samples and catalogues.
