U.S. Manufacturer Pairs a Teak Planter with Speaker System

PORT CHESTER, NY - With the introduction of its Piermont teak planter speaker series, PlanterSpeakers, a division of Madison Fielding, has redesigned and redefined outdoor sound. Designer Art Powers Jr. was inspired to create a truly invisible sound system and has done so by building a world class high-end speaker into a contemporary, slatted planter. The Piermont’s modern and familiar design fits well in high-end modern and classic homes, hotels and resorts.

The Piermont’s exterior is made with sustainable teak wood, sourced from a properly managed and re-forested Costa Rican teak farm. The speaker comes from PlanterSpeaker’s highly acclaimed Flagstone model. Its three-way design features an outdoor rated ten-inch woofer, four-inch midrange and one-inch tweeter that deliver a true audiophile experience rivaling some of the finest sounding speakers in the world. The hidden speakers produce a luxurious sound that seems to emanate from thin air.

The Piermont delivers music with deep bass, rich flowing vocals and crystalline highs without the use of conventional speaker boxes. And, whether listening at low or party volume, the full spectrum of sound is always present and clear. The Piermont is rated for both indoor and outdoor use, and includes ingenious soft planting bags custom made for The Piermont by Smart Pots USA so that live plants are kept happy and healthy.

The Piermont is offered in three models that fit any space. They retail from $5,795 to $6,495 and are handcrafted in PlanterSpeakers’ Port Chester, New York manufacturing facility using the finest components available. The Piermont’s finish can be customized, its speakers can be configured to produce sound at 180 or 90 degrees, and one enclosure can be made to produce spacious stereo. The Piermont is guaranteed for five years.
