IRVINE, CA - Tropitone Furniture Company Inc has introduced a new High Pressure Laminate (HPL) product line for Tropitone® fire pits. “Tropitone is thrilled to be working with a partner in North America to manufacture these fire pit tops, ensuring great quality and timely delivery,” reports Tom Keddy, director of Product Management. “This revolutionary fire pit top material is beautiful, durable, and low maintenance. The introduction for the HPL line is lead by Belo, which demonstrates these qualities.”

Belo tops feature a beveled edge. The black beveled edge creates a floating appearance to the top. The six Belo finishes include the following: Ebony Star; Milano Mahogany; Natural Cotton; Pewter Brush; Sunstone; and White De Pesco. This attractive HPL product with beveled edge and multiple optional finishes suit several styles, including contemporary, traditional, industrial, or casual, and will enhance any outdoor environment.

HPL tops have a reputation for being durable. The combination of high pressure and heat fuses the protective UV layer, decorative pattern, and solid phenolic resin core material into a strong, undividable sheet. Tropitone’s VP of Engineering and Quality, Richard Rivera, testifies: “I, personally, took a chisel to a Belo fire pit top and it was almost as difficult to break as iron.” Even with exerted effort, Tropitone’s HPL tops are difficult to chip or crack.

Unlike other fire pit tops that require frequent polishing or staining, Tropitone® Belo fire pit tops are easy to clean. Belo tops can be wiped clean as needed with mild soap and warm water. Because Tropitone creates these tops from one sheet of material, seams and gaps that capture food residue or dirt are eliminated.

Belo tops are available on the newest Tropitone® fire pits. Tropitone successfully introduced smaller fire pits in July 2014. At 90,000 BTU, these smaller fire pits provide the hottest flame in their class.
