GLEN RAVEN, NC - Solair® Shade Solutions is offering a new display option for dealers looking to transform their in-store awning sales experience for customers.

“While traditionally awnings have been installed on store walls, there has been a concern that the products can get lost in the décor of the store,” said Rett Haigler, business manager of Solair®. “This can make it difficult for consumers to identify the awnings as a product that is actually for sale. We realized this was a concern, and we needed to develop a solution to help our customers. Therefore, we designed the RAD [Retail Awning Display] to create a floor space display capable of holding two retractable awnings at their full extension. The great thing about having two full-size awnings is that dealers can vignette and merchandise furniture underneath so the sales floor space is not lost, but somewhat improved.” 

Since the floor space under the awnings is usable for merchandising, customers are more likely to notice the shade products and recognize their benefits. With a 20-foot wide by 12-foot deep footprint, the RAD offers the capability for two Solair retractable awnings to be mounted, one on each side, at nine feet high, with the ability to fully extend and retract. 

The frame of the RAD is composed of solid-steel feet that balance the whole unit. The feet are six-feet wide by 12-feet deep, making the display exceptionally sturdy. Without any structural changes to the store, the point-of-sale display also features great graphics provided by Solair. 

“We’re excited to debut the RAD at Casual Market this year,” said Haigler. “We’ll have the unit on display in the North lobby of the Merchandise Mart. We have dedicated ourselves to growing the market and are looking forward to the new opportunities the RAD will present our customers.”
