Selkirk Celebrates 14th Anniversary of Training Bursary

Zigi Gadomski, president of WETT, commends Selkirk on the 14th year anniversary of their Training Bursary.  14 years ago, Selkirk was the first manufacturer to step forward and offer a funding partnership with WETT for an overall five-year funding commitment in an effort to offset the cost of training for an individual wishing to pursue WETT Certification.

The Selkirk Training Bursary, funded over a five-year period, is to provide financial support to a candidate who seeks WETT Certification. The chosen candidate will have their course fees waived for the 3 core WETT courses.

“We feel strongly as a manufacturer to support the industry and assist in increasing the number of trained professionals in our industry.  We’ve been supporting WETT with our Training Bursary for 14 years and feel proud to do so”, said Bob Emmell, vice president of Sales, Selkirk. The benefits of this bursary has helped in encouraging the addition of new professionals in discovering a new path and positioning themselves for career success as WETT Professionals in our industry.

Selkirk is also excited to see the commitment of other manufacturers who have come on board by providing additional Training Bursaries to new students seeking WETT Certification.
