CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA - R.H. Peterson Co, manufacturer of Real Fyre® Gas Logs, Fire Magic® Premium Grills, American Fyre Designs® and American Outdoor Grills®, has promoted Dominque Seim to assistant vice president. “Dominque is young, energetic and bright; he is in position to bring our manufacturing processes to a higher level”, said Jon Bridgwater, executive vice president.

In 2004, Dominque, joined R.H. Peterson Co., coming on board as a Master Scheduler.  He quickly rose to several supervisory and management positions, including Production Control Supervisor, Director of Production/ Inventory Control and Senior Managing Director.  His focus has been to improve processes, increase throughput, and ship quality products to customers. Leslie Bortz, President, states, “It is personally gratifying to see our promising younger employees rise in the ranks to become members of the Executive Management team.”

Dominque hails from Spokane, WA, where his grandfather started a propane company in the late 1940’s. His father worked in the propane industry as well, before opening up his own business, Gas Plus, a propane dealer and installer of gas fired appliances in Aberdeen, WA.  Since the age of 9, Dominque often accompanied his father to work and soon familiarized himself with the gas industry.

After high school, he joined the Marine Corp in 1993, training in communications and as a spotter, involving the coordination of artillery, naval gun fire, aircraft and laser targeting. Dominique was stationed in Okinawa, Japan with the Amphibious Assault Unit.  After completion of military service, Dominque earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix and certification in Information Technology. He worked in the family gas business from 1997-2004.
