CHICAGO - Cooley Wire Products recently debuted its line of firepit and fireplace grates made from SS304. SS304 can continuously withstand temperatures up to around 1650 degrees Fahrenheit and is fully resistant to the outdoor elements. Steel grates lose 50% of strength at 1100 F and are corrosive.

The new Cooley grate has a load capacity of 250 pounds of firewood. Its checkerboard structure provides maximum stiffness and load distribution. The company has reduced the weight of each basket by at least 50% due to material choice and design. They are lightweight and easily movable in and out for cleanup. Grates come in any size required—round, square, and rectangular.
