New Executive Promotions at Brown Jordan and Tropitone

ST AUGUSTINE, FL - Brown Jordan International Inc (Brown Jordan), a manufacturer of outdoor furniture and indoor hospitality furniture, has promoted Frederick G. King to Chief Operating Officer.

King will oversee operations for the Tropitone and Winston furniture companies, in addition to his current responsibilities as Corporate Secretary for Brown Jordan. King has overseen the Charter Furniture business since 2010, and in his new role he will continue to report to Gene J. Moriarty, Brown Jordan’s president and CEO. 

“Fred has been instrumental in Brown Jordan’s success as a diversified growth company. Under Fred’s leadership, I look forward to continued advancements for both the Tropitone and Winston businesses,” said Moriarty.

King holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Law. 

In addition, Brown Jordan International Inc has promoted Randy Danielson to executive vice president of Tropitone, effective immediately and reporting to Frederick King. Danielson holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and National Certified Management Accountant. “The amount of respect and support that Randy has earned from the Tropitone team is unparalleled, and I have the highest confidence that he and Fred will continue their successes,” added Moriarty.

Brown Jordan International has also promoted Rick Dawson to division president of Charter Furniture. Dawson has been senior vice president of Sales for Charter Furniture since 2006, and will now oversee all operations and sales responsibilities. Dawson’s new role will commence immediately, and he too will report to Gene J. Moriarty.

“Rick has played an integral role in transforming Charter Furniture to the category leader it is today,” said Frederick G. King, Brown Jordan’s new COO. “He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this position.”
