Modern Flames Electric Fireplace Featured on NBC During Olympics

SOCHI, RUS - Modern Flames’ award winning Ambiance CLX was selected and featured on the elaborate set of the NBC 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Designers from a New York-based firm that specializes in television set backgrounds specifically chose Modern Flames’ Ambiance model AL100CLX, a 100-inch electric fireplace, to appear on Bob Costas’ set. The face of the fireplace, originally a smooth, shiny black, was customized to deter reflection cast by camera lighting.
The vibrant orange, naturalistic flame, which comes standard in the model, was kept the same and uses unique, energy-efficient LED technology to give it a realistic pattern that brings a warm and welcoming feeling to NBC’s set. The designer was happy with the way the fireplace fit onto the set, and the image it helped to set.
With the Sochi Olympics bringing in millions of television viewers to NBC each day, officials at Modern Flames felt it important to feature their leading electric fireplace. “We are very proud to be able to feature the Modern Flames product in such a high profile setting,” stated Kris Richardson, operations manager for Modern Flames.
