In Memory of Mary Fruehauf

BOULDER, CO – Fruehauf’s Patio & Garden, featured in the July/August 2007 edition of Patio & Hearth Products Report, and based in Boulder, Colo, issued the following statement on behalf of Mary Fruehauf.
Dear Friends of Fruehauf’s,
It is with great sadness with which we inform you that Mary Fruehauf has passed away due to a long battle with cancer. Mary was a very hardworking, dedicated, and passionate person.
She has been involved in the casual furniture industry and worked at Fruehauf’s since her parents, Vic and Gretchen, started it in 1977. Over that time, with a lot of hard work, she has grown Fruehauf’s in to the successful business that it is today.
She was very involved in our industry; serving various roles with CFR and the ICFA. With over 35 years in the patio furniture business, she has known and influenced many people, and we know she will be missed by many. She loved Fruehauf’s, and she loved our industry and the people in it.
She will be missed very much at Fruehauf’s. Despite her illness, she never cut back on her responsibilities or her hours at the store, where she was a daily presence. Fruehauf’s will continue on as Mary had run it, continuing her and her family’s legacy, with Mariah accepting the role of president and CEO.
