Hammock Source Employee Participates in SC Flood Cleanup with Army National Guard, Earns Honor

GREENVILLE, NC - Sam Reel, an employee in The Hammock Source, recently participated in South Carolina’s flood recovery efforts. As part of Operation Palmetto Support, he was assigned to duties in Columbia helping to clear and repair roads. Reel serves with the 151st Mobility Augmentation Company, assigned to the 105th Engineering Battalion.

He was deployed for 10 days and while there earned the Commander’s Challenge Coin, one of five service members awarded the coin. He was one of 545 North Carolina Guardsmen deployed to the area. Reel has been an employee at The Hammock Source for a year and has been in the National Guard for 3 ½ years.
