Dancook, a new line of Scandinavian-designed kettle barbecues and outdoor fire bowls, has just been introduced to North America (www.dancookusa.com). The line was first featured in the SABER grills booth at HPBExpo in March and shipments are being distributed to retailers across America.
Denmark-based Dancook has been making outdoor cookware for 20 years. 2013 marks the company’s first foray into the North American market. Operating under the philosophy that innovation and great style do not have to come with a high price tag, Dancook products are not only beautifully and simply designed using quality materials, they are value priced.
Dancook’s North American distribution is being handled by sister company Saber Grills, LLC (Dancook was purchased by Char-Broil, Saber’s parent company, in late 2011.) Rob Schwing, general manager of Saber, says initial reaction from the industry has been extremely positive.
“We knew the Dancook line would generate a lot of attention because the products are so stylish. But there’s a deeper story about the quality manufacturing that resonates with outdoor retailers. These cookers look great, they perform really, really well, and they’re available at a consumer-friendly price point,” said Schwing. “They fit beautifully with the SABER business philosophy.”
The North American line for Dancook includes four products:
Dancook 1500: This kettle-style charcoal barbecue is made of stainless steel and features a uniquely shaped, removable liner that increases heat output, reduces briquette use and makes for easy clean-up. This grill is housed in a stylish wheeled cart that features a generous-sized worktop table and bottom shelf, ideal for outdoor prep and cooking. MSRP: $499.
Dancook 9000: This stainless steel fire bowl is a beautiful outdoor fire pit that can be transformed into a barbecue grill. Sitting in a fully-welded three legged base, the 28 inch (72 cm)fire bowl can be filled with wood for a bonfire or with charcoal for a great outdoor meal. Accessories include a domed spark guard, a chromium plated steel cooking grate and a flat lid (to turn the fire bowl into a coffee table). MSRP: $189.
Dancook 1800: A kettle-style charcoal barbecue that sits in a stable, fullywelded three-legged post frame. The 1800 also features a uniquely shaped, removable liner that increases heat output, reduces briquette use and makes for easy clean-up. The grill appears to be “floating” in a ring of stainless steel. An aluminum side table can be added for prep space. MSRP: $399.
Dancook 9400: This 28 inch (72cm)shallow fire bowl will add a dash of style to any backyard setting. Sitting on a low three-legged base, the piece is made from Corten steel, also known as weathering steel (it’s used in shipbuilding, architecture and art), which creates a natural rusted patina. MSRP: $109.
