Empire Group Subsidiary SBI Purchases England’s Stove Works Assets

BELLEVILLE, IL – Stove Builder International (SBI), a subsidiary of Empire Group, has purchased the assets of England’s Stove Works (ESW), a renowned manufacturer of wood-fired and pellet-fired hearth product located in Monroe, VA which was founded in 1976.
SBI is a leading manufacturer of hearth products located in Saint-Augustin, Quebec, Canada. While SBI’s primary market is Canada, it also distributes into the US, South America, Europe, and Australia.
This acquisition will enable SBI to add production capacity in the US, something it has been contemplating for some time. ESW’s Virginia operations will become SBI factories and will continue to build and market England’s Stove Works products. Their brands include Englander, Summers Heat, Timber Ridge, and Survivor.
