Empire Group Continues To Expand Presence In North American Hearth Industry

BELLEVILLE, IL - Empire Group, the parent company of Empire Comfort Systems has acquired all of the operating assets of Canadian Heating Products, Inc. (dba Montigo Fireplaces) of Langley, British Columbia, Canada (Montigo).
The acquisition furthers Empire Group’s commitment to the Hearth industry, allows for expanded presence in the western states, and entry in to the custom fireplace market. “We look forward to our companies working together to offer our customers more diverse products and services,” said Nick Bauer, 4th generation president of Empire. “Very rarely does 1 plus 1 equal 3, but with little crossover in products and customers, we feel that this acquisition will make both companies stronger.”
