Chimney King Copper Featured in Yardcore and WSJ

GURNEE, IL – Chimney King showed off its hand hammered copper ‘Cornice Pan’® and a La Mons chimney shroud with a zinc sheriffs badge during the DIY Network TV show Yardcore. It was the 13th show of the third season, and Derek Lidstrom, president, Chimney King LLC, said show organizers praised it as one of the “neatest design pieces” they had yet encountered.

Meanwhile, the Mansion Section of a recent Wall Street Journal featured a sampling of chimney caps that made “architectural statements while keeping the rain—and the squirrels—out of the house.”

Praising chimney caps as the “work horse of the rooftop,” WSJ writer Sandra Ward highlighted the “Curvy Copper,” stating that the “La Mons, by Chimney King of Gurnee, Ill, evokes an Old World style and can be made in different materials, including copper and stucco.” Lidstrom reveals that the “curvy beauty” has been a best seller.
