LANCASTER COUNTY, PA - Casual Comfort, an outdoor furniture line manufactured by Trubuilt Outdoors, has acquired Artifex Designs. The acquisition expands Casual Comfort’s product capabilities and strengthens the resources it can provide to its dealer network.
“We are proud to welcome Artifex Designs into the Casual Comfort family,” said Eli Glick, CEO of Casual Comfort by Trubuilt. “Artifex brings its own history of craftsmanship, design, and attention to detail, and their work reflects a philosophy that aligns closely with ours: the commitment to doing things right the first time.”
The acquisition gives the company greater capacity to develop new products, broaden its offerings, and invest in the dealer support needed to grow alongside its retail partners.
Growth With a Greater Purpose
While the acquisition creates clear business opportunities, growth has always been connected to a larger purpose for the organization. Casual Comfort was built with the belief that a successful company should be able to give back to its community. A significant part of the company’s purpose is supporting nonprofit organizations that serve individuals with special needs and their families. A few of the organizations Casual Comfort is grateful to support includes Harmony Hollow Retreat, Community Care Center, The Caring Cup, and Haiti Auctions.
These organizations create opportunities for individuals with special needs to develop skills, find meaningful work, and participate more fully in their communities. The resulting impact can reach entire families, providing support and opportunities that would otherwise be difficult to access.
“The work these organizations do is incredibly important,” said Mel Glick, chief sales officer. “They create opportunities for people with special needs to learn, work, and build meaningful lives. Being able to support that work is a big part of why we want to continue growing. The stronger we make our business, the more we can give back.”
As Casual Comfort by Trubuilt grows its product offering and dealer network, it expects to have greater resources available to support the organizations doing this work. Giving back is an important part of how the company defines success and the impact it hopes to make beyond the furniture industry.
Looking Ahead
The Artifex acquisition gives Casual Comfort by Trubuilt an opportunity to build on its existing strengths while expanding its reach in the furniture industry. The expanded product offering created through the Artifex acquisition will give dealers more opportunities to meet different customer needs and create complete outdoor living solutions.
Additional resources will also allow the company to continue improving the areas that matter to retailers, from product development and manufacturing to service and support. “We want our dealers to be successful,” said Mel Glick. “If we can give them great products, dependable service, and the support they need to sell those products, everyone benefits. Our goal is to build relationships that last and to continue finding ways to help our dealers grow.”
