Patio and Heart Products Report apologizes for a previous error in reporting. We would like to clarify that the Dicey acquisition by Valdese has NOTHING to do with Bella-Dura® business or fiber sourcing. Wearbest has NOT acquired Dicey, nor is Bella-Dura®‘s sourcing affected by that acquisition.
From the company:
Bella-Dura® and its parent company Wearbest have formally announced that the recent acquisition of Dicey by Valdese has NO impact on the sourcing of fiber for Bella Dura®.
“The question has been raised by some of our clients, and we would like to immediately put to rest any concerns or thoughts that this is related to our business. Dicey has never been a resource for Bella-Dura® or Wearbest,” stated Ari Gasner, the recently appointed president of the New Jersey-based family-run mill.
“Our sourcing relationship spans several generations and with a vested interest together we have spent years as well as millions of dollars to create truly unique fibers, yarns and colors that have become award-winning fabrics for our customers,” he said. “Our commitment is continued investment to bring the quality and on-time delivery our customers deserve, along with more interesting and beautiful yarns using the most innovative technology.”
Bella-Dura® is a proprietary fiber, developed by Irwin Gasner and a team of experts in 2005. Since then, the fabrics have been lauded for their inherent attributes.
