ATLANTA – ANDMORE will host 9 design-driven, educational sessions covering topics such as design, color and category trends across its two Atlanta campuses – AmericasMart Atlanta and the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC)— in September. AmericasMart’s Fall Market and the International Casual Furnishings Association (ICFA’s) Outdoor Design Days run September 18 – 20 and DISCOVER ADAC runs September 19 – 21.
“This September, ANDMORE offers buyers three concurrent sourcing and shopping opportunities, with the new Outdoor Design Days augmenting the popular Fall Market at AmericasMart and DISCOVER ADAC,” said Karen Olson, ANDMORE CMO. “Throughout our two Atlanta campuses, we are offering curated sessions and a can’t-miss selection of showrooms, ready to help the design community prepare for the holiday and mid-market seasons ahead.”
AmericasMart is set to offer three educational programs, including Design to Dollars: How the outdoor category can help you grow your business, presented by Cindy Hodnett of Designers Today and Furniture Today, on Monday, September 18; and Sherwin-Williams ColorMix, presented by Rachel Moeller, on Tuesday, September 19. A third session, with subject and presenter to be announced will be held on Wednesday, September 20. Educational sessions will take place at 11:30 a.m. during lunch in the Building 1, 14th floor seminar space.
ADAC will offer two daily, inspirational Keynote presentations with interior design panels, color education and product introduction alongside showroom presentations and book signings throughout the three-day DISCOVER ADAC consumer and trade event. Sessions on Tuesday, September 19 are: The Power of the Past in Present Design, presented by Margot Shaw, editor-in-chief of Flower Magazine, interior designers Barry Dixon and Jared Hughes and Matt Gomez, owner of Jean Monro; and Defining Chic: The World of Carrier and Company, presented by Jessie Carrier and Mara Miller of Carrier and Company and Betsy Riley, editor-in-chief of Atlanta Magazine. On Wednesday, September 20, sessions include: The Power of Authenticity, presented by architect Stan Dixon and VERANDA executive editor, Ellen McGauley; and Design Influence Beyond the Eurocentric Lens, presented by Luxe Interiors + Design Southeast Homes editor Kate Abney alongside Southeast-based design professionals Beth Webb, Cheryl Luckett, Kelley Lentini, and Berkeley Minkhorst.
On Thursday, September 21, sessions are: Forces of Nature, presented by Michael Del Piero of Good Design and Rozanne Jackson of The Iron Gate, and moderated by MILIEU design director Leslie Newsom Rascoe; and The Art of Color: Powerful Palettes & Visionary Design, presented by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles editor-in-chief, Lauren Iverson, interior designers Melanie Millner of The Design Atelier, Monet Masters of Forbes Masters, and New York-based designer David Frazier. Sessions are presented daily at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
In addition to design education, both AmericasMart Atlanta and ADAC will offer buyer amenities each day throughout the markets. Free shuttles will operate between both campuses, Tuesday, September 19 – Thursday, September 21. AmericasMart also will provide complimentary parking for market attendees at the American Cancer Society Garage.
