VIRGINIA BEACH, VA - A new partnership between two leaders in outdoor furniture and accessory rugs will complement outdoor furniture collections in traditional and specialty brick-and-mortar furniture retailers and casual furniture specialists.
Agio-USA of Virginia Beach, Va, has made an exclusive arrangement to sell nuLOOM rugs through their sales and distribution network. Outdoor rugs produced by nuLOOM, a manufacturer of indoor and outdoor rugs, will continue its existing ecommerce business with their own sales force.
The nuLOOM company, which is primarily focused on online sales for its fashionable rugs, will now gain entre’ into bricks-and-mortar furniture stores through the new relationship with Agio-USA and their outdoor sales representatives.
The arrangement makes sense to Andy Sokol, vice president, Sales/Furniture Stores for Agio-USA. “With the growing popularity of the outdoor room, we’ve seen the need for more accessory items,” Sokol said. “Outdoor rugs add color as an accessory to your outdoor furniture collection, makes for a nicer looking living space, and provides the practical benefit of having a rug under your feet in the walk area.” For the stores, it is an easy way to add to the ticket and the rug does not require any additional floor space.
With a large assortment of interesting motifs, nuLOOM takes inspiration from designs found in nature, textiles and architecture from around the globe and combines them with 100 percent polyester or polypropylene fabrics. The rugs, with sizes from 5-by-8 feet to 9-by-12 feet, are UV treated to prevent fading and can be easily cleaned with a garden hose.
Agio-USA is working with nuLOOM to coordinate designs that complement outdoor furniture trends and styles. By providing examples of complementary rugs on display in their showrooms outdoor furniture retailers can show how to accessorize their collections and make it easier for customers to imagine what would go best with the collection they intend to purchase.
According to Sokol, Agio-USA offers larger retailers a customized program to match an outdoor furniture collection with a nuLOOM rug that creates a furniture group that only one retailer will have. Direct-container programs are also available in addition to the domestic program.
Sokol added that for retailers in either outdoor specialty or traditional furniture, the benefits are comprehensive: a quality product, attractive price points, a domestic place to find product, the latest fashions from a good and trusted source, and inventory here in the States that can ship quickly.
“We’ve found a very good company with a lot of experience in the rug business to partner with us in this program,” he said. “We are excited about this opportunity.”
“Agio-USA is the exclusive sales force for nuLOOM’s outdoor product line with brick-and-mortar stores,” Sokol said. “We are competitively priced and we have a lot of designs from which to choose. In addition, rugs can be obtained quickly out of the warehouse and retailers don’t have to make a major commitment.”
