Gabby and Summer Classics Announce New Atlanta Market Introductions

ATLANTA - As trendsetters in the home design industry, the Gabby and Summer Classics teams listen to what customers want and provide them with fresh new products that reflect their design styles. Atlanta Market, to be held January 10-17, provides the opportunity to do just that as they showcase the latest line for 2017.

Gabby Showroom
Creative director Chris Hutchens is taking an innovative approach to the showroom design this market with rooms that express different themes. “Gabby is such a unique mix of furniture that flows well together,” says creative director Chris Hutchens. “That’s why I wanted to create themes in each of the rooms to present all the different styles that we offer and how well they complement one another.”

There’s a room devoted to casual comfort featuring a natural, neutral color scheme and deep, fluffy seating such as the ever-popular Wesley chairs. Another room combines some of the antiques we brought back from France mixed with modern furniture to show how nicely the new and old pair.  Because a lot of the Gabby furnishing have a coastal vibe, there’s a space containing a good mix of materials that have a seaside feel to them. And, finally, the Columbia Cabinet serves as the centerpiece for the room designated as a masculine study area. The large cabinet makes the perfect storage for books and looks great with our leather settee and Cyrano Coffee Table.

New products continue to feature the materials that customers love used in refreshing new ways. The acrylic bar stools, which have been extremely popular items, will now be offered in chrome. We’re also presenting more concrete and wood combinations such as the Troy Hall Table. Other mixed material introductions include the Francesca Coffee Table, which features a gray marble stone top that insets on a wood base. The Lucius console table made from champagne metal with black mirror also serves as a bar cart, providing two rolls of wine storage on both sides of the table.

Summer Classics
Outdoor living continues to be an extension of the living spaces inside, and that’s what you’ll see when you visit the Summer Classics showroom. The Summer Classics 2017 collection features simplified, modern design with stylish details. “In outdoor furniture, I see a definite trend towards lighter color frames in gray shades and more comfortable seating,” says Summer Classics founder and CEO Bew White. “There’s also a definite trend towards teak or wooden furniture. We call it the ‘purist revolution.’”

Plantation-Raised Teak
Our Avondale collection featured at Atlanta Market pays homage to White’s early career as a textile sales representative at his family’s fabric business at Avondale Mills with a mid-century design in chamfered teak that showcases plush upholstery. New occasional tables in this group were designed to coordinate well with other Summer Classics collections to create an innovative, eclectic look.
Another premium teak favorite in a chamfered lattice back design, the Haley offers classical styling with lush cushions and sumptuous proportions. The simplicity of the X-back design allows Haley to mix easily with other teak collection pieces.

Marine Grade Stainless Steel
Summer Classics has developed dynamic and durably-designed furniture that uses stainless steel as the main frame, a material that embodies both strength and versatility. The design can be found in two collections: the Delray and the Acero. The Delray features slow-growth teak accents inlaid into the arms of the stainless steel, allowing it to be mixed with a variety of dining and occasional chair options and is designed to be used without a cushion.

A mid-century contemporary collection from the highly successful new White Label group, the Acero features a steel frame and bucket upholstery in Sunbrella fabric. This beautiful collection comes with reticulated foam cushions, giving a great interior-design look outdoors that’s perfect for poolside and other areas.

Gabby invites customers to join a cocktail reception on Friday, January 13 from 3-5 and for the after party at 5. On Saturday, January 14, join them for Italian Charcuterie at 4:30 and on Sunday, January 15 for the Hot Chocolate Cocktail Bar 12 to 4.
