ATLANTA - AmericasMart Atlanta will debut “Elevate Outdoor – Designer Experience,” a new day-long program designed to orient and educate designers on business opportunities in casual and outdoor furnishings through educational sessions, interactive events, amenities and exclusive incentives, on Thursday, January 16, during the Winter Atlanta Market.
This “Consumer interest in outdoor living spaces is growing, and AmericasMart Atlanta’s casual/outdoor collection is perfectly positioned to help designers meet this demand,” said Dorothy Belshaw, ANDMORE℠ president. “This focused day of programming offers designers the chance to connect with key suppliers, explore emerging trends and develop or expand services in the outdoor category.”
Presented against the backdrop of AmericasMart Atlanta’s five floors and 70+ showrooms dedicated to casual and outdoor resources, Elevate Outdoor is a full-day, five-part program curated for designers to explore business opportunities in these categories. This experience includes sessions on affiliate programs, sustainable fabrics and effective marketing strategies. Attendees can enjoy gifts and giveaways, as they connect with industry leaders and gain insights into expanding their outdoor design services.
The full-day event will kick off with “Memberships & Mimosas,” from 10 – 10:30 a.m., in the Woodard Furniture showroom. Market attendees are invited to enjoy a mimosa and explore the Woodard trade program – an exclusive program for trade professionals looking to elevate their design vision and create stunning outdoor spaces for their clients.
From noon – 1:30 p.m., POLYWOOD and Sunbrella will host “Sustainable Performance Fabrics – From Fibers to Design,” a CEU-accredited lunch session in the POLYWOOD showroom. Presented by Richard Mann of Sunbrella, this session covers the essentials of performance fabric, from manufacturing to quality testing, and explores its sustainable applications in luxury and lifestyle design.
From 2 to 3 p.m., the International Casual Furnishings Association (ICFA) hosts “Getting Published in the Social/Digital Age,” an hour-long talk about marketing and promotion for designers. Kelly Peterson, principal of Highpoint Marketing and former group advertising director with Hearst Corporation, will share ways to approach editors, influencers and content providers to have greater success in getting projects published.
The Cocktails & Casual happy hour from 4 – 6 p.m., Building 1, Floors 2 – 6, encourages networking throughout AmericasMart Atlanta’s casual/outdoor collection.
Drawings and special offerings for the trade will be featured during the day-long event. Upon presentation of a market badge at the ICFA Member Lounge in Building 1, Floor 2, designers will receive a special gift from the outdoor living showrooms, while supplies last. Also, the first 30 attendees at the POLYWOOD and Sunbrella session will receive a gift, and there will be two large drawings at the conclusion of the event for larger prizes.
