Z-Line Designs, a leading manufacturer of contemporary home office and home entertainment furniture products, has named Justin Smith as vice president of sales for its newly established leather furniture division. Smith will oversee the launch of the company’s leather furniture line at this month’s High Point Market.

Smith joins Z-Line Designs with a 15-year track record in the leather industry. Most recently he was vice president of Le Noir Leather/Davis Direct Furniture, where he was involved in development, sourcing, design, and sales. Prior to that, he held positions with Natuzzi and Leather Trend.

“When we decided to enter the leather market, we looked for the best people we could get to come on board, and Justin rose quickly to the top of the list,” says Jim Sexton, Z-Line Designs founder, president and CEO. “He is very knowledgeable in leather furniture and is well respected in the industry. We’re delighted to have him on the team to help launch what we believe is one of the most innovative lines of leather furniture to hit the market.”

Adds Smith, “After speaking with Jim, I knew this opportunity was the right one. Jim and Z-Line have put an incredible team in place in the US and China. Retailers already have confidence in Z-Line, and our introduction of a leather program will be a continuation of that confidence – knowing they will get exactly what they ordered in the time frame in which it was promised. We have a large team of people in China to help ensure this. I’m not aware of too many companies that can boast that kind of commitment.”

Z-Line Designs’ leather furniture line encompasses a range of product styles from contemporary to traditional, featuring a variety of distinctive Z-Line features and innovations. The debut collection will be unveiled at the High Point Market, April 21-25, in the company’s permanent showroom at 220 Elm, Space 206.
