Napoleon Fireplaces & Grills recently launched its 9600 series two-stage fur- nace for use in upflow, downflow, and horizontal applications. David Coulson, national advertis- ing manager, says, “Napoleon’s variable-speed, energy efficient, electronically commutated blower motor operates on low fire for greater efficiency and comfort for most of the heating season. The furnace will automatically switch to the second stage, producing more heat only when required.”

The Napoleon 9600 series fur- nace comes complete with the patented SureView burner-system window, allowing a unique view of the flame in operation—a first in the industry. It is the shortest furnace on the market with an AFUE rating of more than 96%, at a height of 32 7/8 inches, and it is offered in two cabinet widths (17.5 and 22.5 inch- es). Napoleon’s 9600 series furnace comes standard with multiple intake/venting, gas-pipe, and electrical-connection options.
