Hearth & Home Technologies Heats Up Super Bowl LIVE

MINNEAPOLIS - The big game may be over, but Hearth & Home Technologies is still basking in the glow of their presence at the National Football League’s premiere Super Bowl warm-up event. Patio & Hearth Products Report chatted with Hearth & Home Technologies’ Jackie Schneider to get an idea of how the company came to participate in the event held just prior to the 2018 Super Bowl.

P&HPR: How did this opportunity to work with Super Bowl live come about?
Jackie Schneider, brand director: The Super Bowl Host Committee reached out to us when their team began planning Super Bowl LIVE, as they felt fireplaces were an essential element to showcase all the Bold North had to offer during the ten-day celebration culminating in Super Bowl LII. We worked with the Host Committee and four partners - Doritos, Xcel Energy, Andersen Windows, and KARE-11, the NBC affiliate in the Twin Cities - to develop co-branded activations along Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis, featuring fireplaces as a focal point. These vignettes provided a respite from the chilly temperatures and created an opportunity for Heat & Glo brand ambassadors to connect with consumers to raise category and brand awareness.

P&HPR: Were the “branded handwarmers” branded with the Heat & Glo logo?
Schneider: Yes, the hand warmers were Heat & Glo branded; they featured our logo and website.

P&HPR: How did it all go? What was the reaction to Heat & Glo’s presence?
Schneider: Heat & Glo’s presence at Super Bowl LIVE was a huge success. Heat & Glo brand ambassadors had countless conversations with the million-plus consumers who visited the Twin Cities over the course of Super Bowl LIVE and relished the opportunity to warm up by the fire.
